Nieuwoudtville
The rich mix of soils make Nieuwoudtville a key location for flowers - both wild and cultivated. Given the right rains, the flower season rivals any of the Namaqualand displays. The rich variety of bulbs also attract large numbers of visitors. The town is reached from the West by ascending Van Rhyn's Pass with fantastic view of the apparently endless Knersvlakte plain below. The escarpment divides the Western Cape from the Northern Cape whoch stretches along the plateau.
