Zambia Guide
Victoria Falls, top class safaris, Luangwa Valley, Zambesi River
Victoria Falls is the jewel in the crown of top class safari destinations boasted by Zambia. At full water, the heaving flow of the mighty Zambesi is awesome, even before it crashes into the abyss.
Up river, the Lower Zambesi offers a selection of excellent lodges on the river's edge, with activities on and and on water by canoe. Further game viewing opportunities are found in Kafue's varied terrain.
As the summer progresses, the scarcity of water resources in South Luangwa brings game viewing to the boil. Hippos fight for river space, while big cats make life increasingly difficult as drinking options diminish for their prey.
Less frequently visited are Kafue, with its varied terrain, and North Luangwa, specialising in walking safaris.
