Old wine estates, elegant residences, fine views

Cape Town

Constantia Valley

Constantia Valley boasts many of the most privileged homes in Cape Town. The affluent area sits under the heights of the Cape Peninsula mountain range on the far side of the city.

Beautiful scenery looks out over False Bay and beyond to mpressive coastal mountains.

Constantia wine-making dates back to 1705 boasting some of the Cape's oldest and best-regarded wine producers. Wine farms boast some of the best examples of early Cape Dutch architecture complemented by wine-tasting and excellent restaurants.

Well known labels Buitenverwachting, Klein Constantia and Groot Constantia all stand on land originally part of Constantia Farm, founded by Simon van der Stel in 1685. Groot Constantia is one of Cape Town's most visited attractions. Its manor house was once van der Stel's home.
