Fine Kilimanjaro views, luxury tented camp, private concession
Tortilis
The luxury camp is named after Acacia Tortilis - the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree - situated on the on the side of Limbarishi Hill just outside the park in one of Amboseli's remaining areas of unspoilt woodland. The fine backdrop is Africa's highest mountain, the snow-capped Kilimajaro. Guests have access to the Kitiria private concession.
En-suite spacious thatched tents offer twin or kingsize beds, showers and modern flush toilets, with the option of an extra bed for a child. A family house offer one double and one twin bedroom with a private sitting room. Extra beds can be added for children.
Activities include game drives, walks with Maasai guides, cultural visits, swimming pool and massage. A visit may also be arranged to the elephant research centre run by Cynthia Moss.
