Steaming geysers, hot springs, huge flocks of flamingo and greater kudu
Lake Bogoria is known for huge flocks of flamingo and steaming geysers - highest concentration in Africa. Some 200 surrounding hot springs help maintain the high alkalinity. The geysers may be viewed from the lookout point close to the main gate at Loburu hot springs.
Siracho escarpment provides the Rift Valley backdrop to the lake which is home to over 400 species of birds. The island has held the world record for the most bird species spotted within a 24-hour period.
Bogoria's wildlife includes zebra, klipspringer, Grant's gazelle and Chandler's mountain reedbuck and the rare greater kudu. Limited walking and cycling are possible.
